My journey began in the world of photojournalism, where for forty years I sought to capture the raw, unvarnished human condition. In the field, I learned that the most powerful stories are told in the quietest moments—the split second when a mask slips and a person’s authentic truth is revealed. I fell in love with the ability to catch a fleeting moment of life and grant it a sense of permanence.
Today, my work in the studio is an evolution of that same search for the "human side," but it has become a collaborative act of creation. I believe that every person carries multiple identities—the one the world sees, and the ones they dream of becoming. My studio is a sanctuary designed for that second self. It is a space where my subjects are given the freedom to release their inhibitions, shed their everyday realities, and step into a new narrative.
